Remote Viewing Unit

The Remote Viewing Unit was founded in 2008 by Rick and Sandra Hilleard in order to promote the skill of Remote Viewing in Australia. Remote Viewing is the learned ability to perceive people, places and events, shielded from our normal five senses by space and/or time. The technique makes use of our Extrasensory Perception in a trained and controlled manner. Remote Viewing differs from using ones psychic ability in the fact that all Remote Viewers are trained in following a certain protocol and procedure. Remote Viewing is structured and gives measurable results, in order to monitor progress and performance of individual Remote Viewers.

Remote Viewing has been developed during the Cold War, when US intelligence agencies found the Russians were working on mental techniques of 'Psychic Spying'. With this in mind the United States intelligence agencies could not stay behind in this field and funded research programs in order to find out what the possibilities of these applications were. Research and development of these techniques of what was then named Remote Viewing, started in the early 1970's until 1995. In 1995 the last project code named 'Star Gate' was shut down and some of the research was released to the public under the freedom of information act. Although officially all projects have ceased to exist; there are some indications that several intelligence agencies are still using Remote Viewing and developing it further.

In the public sector the technique is mainly used as a self-development tool; in order to develop, control, test and measure ones own Extrasensory Perception. Remote Viewing can be used in conjunction with investigations and research or to predict future outcomes and developments. It can be applied to a multitude of fields, from technical solutions to creative writing and art and from the financial markets to archaeology.

Rick first brought this skill from the US to Australia in 1998, however it wasn't until the end of 2007 when he met Sandra, they started to share their knowledge with the Australian public.
